UPPER SCHOOL

The Upper School follows courses leading to Cambridge International Examinations. In Forms 9 & 10, students follow programs of study leading to the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education).

CLIC provides Form 9 students with career orientation tests in order to facilitate subject choices later on. The school conducts individual follow-up interviews with parents and students so that parents are able to take an active role in their children’s educational path.

In Forms 11 & 12, students follow programs of study leading to the AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) Diploma. This Diplomais recognised by the Portuguese Ministry of Education as equivalent to the completion of 12º Ano (Year 12 of the Portuguese education system).

Cambridge International Examinations are recognized in over 150 countries, allowing for direct entry into university education.

The majority of universities in Portugal already recognize AICE examinations as sufficient for university entry without the need for "provas específicas" (university entry examinations).

The number of Universities recognizing AICE examinations for entry continues to grow every year.
